Modúbar de San Cibrián

History. Its name comes from the Arabic mudawwar, which means “round”. In 1842 it had got 18 homes and 66 neighbours, being called Modúbar de San Cibrián. Later it joined the village of Cuevas de Juarros. On 22nd February they celebrate the patronal festivity of the Cátedra de San Pedro de Antioquía. They also celebrate San Isidoro and the Virgen of the Rosario on the first Sunday of October, when devotees dance around its statue during the procession.
